Dante's Inferno

In the tutorial level you face death himself, beat him up, take his scythe and KILL him with it God of War style.
Very awesome.

Gameplay:
Speaking of God of War, if you liked that game you'll love this one. The gameplay, health and combat system is very similar. There's talent trees to spec into ranged holy magic (Beatrice's cross) or melee unholy magic (Death's scythe). They both have their flaws and perks. Despite how hack-and-slash games like this tend to be, you learn new moves often enough to keep combat very entertaining. There's also a pleasant amount of monsters you can control temporarily and a few nice puzzles scattered throughout the realm of the damned.
Story:
Not all games have enough of a story for me to make room to talk about it. This one has an epic story. You must save your wife from Lucifer himself and you must face all 9 circles of hell to defeat him.

Art (Play this while reading the next paragraph):

The music is astounding. It always complements the gameplay or the event that is happening, enhancing the cinematic effect and amplifying the emotion of the scene. The levels are beautifully horrifyingly done. Each circle of hell has thousands of corpses burning and melting in different ways pertaining to their sin in life. For example, people subject to greed will forever boil in gold. Or those who were gluttonous will forever be devoured and digested throughout the intestines that lace that circle. The very walls of hell in which you must climb contain countless crying corpses. Rarely am I awestruck by simply walking down a path in a video game.

Overview:
Fun gameplay, moving and motivating story, outstanding art, and a must play for anyone who enjoys an epic tale with epic fights.
